GUANGZHOU, April 15, 2026 — The 139th Session of the China Import and Export Fair, widely known as the Canton Fair, opened its doors today in Guangzhou, the southern trade hub of China. Running in three phases from April 15 to May 5, this year's event has set new records in scale, innovation, and global participation, solidifying its role as the world's largest offline import and export exhibition.
Unprecedented Scale & Global Reach
This edition covers a massive 1.55 million square meters of exhibition space, featuring 75,700 booths and hosting over 32,000 exhibitors—all hitting historic highs. Among them, nearly 3,900 companies are making their debut at the fair. The event has already attracted extraordinary international interest. As of April 9, over 210,000 global buyers had pre-registered. A total of 290 leading multinational corporations, including retail giants Walmart, Tesco, and Carrefour, have confirmed their attendance, marking a 30% year-on-year increase. Furthermore, 148 overseas trade chambers and business groups are sending delegations, reflecting the fair's deepening influence on global trade.

Aligning with the core themes of "New, Green, and Smart," the fair has expanded to 179 specialized zones, with 9 brand-new sections introduced for the first time.
Phase 1 (Apr 15–19): Smart Wearables, Display Technologies, Consumer Drones, Agricultural Drones
Phase 2 (Apr 23–27): Bamboo & Wooden Tableware, Bamboo Home Goods, Prefabricated Houses & Garden Facilities
Phase 3 (May 1–5): Functional & Tech Textiles
The exhibition showcases over 4.65 million products, where 23% are new innovations, 22% are eco-friendly, and 25% feature proprietary intellectual property rights.
A Catalyst for Global Trade in the 15th Five-Year Plan
Held in the inaugural year of China's 15th Five-Year Plan (2026–2030), the fair serves as a crucial barometer of global economic recovery and China's high-quality opening-up.
